Nattika is a small village in Thrissur district of Kerala state, South India. It is centrally located about 25 km from Thrissur, Kodungallur and Guruvayur. There is a beautiful beach in this village called Nattika Beach. Nattika is on the west coast of Thrissur. This is an assembly constituency.
The Sree Rama temple of Triprayar is in Nattika Panchayat. This temple has got the biggest Sree Rama shrine in South India. There is a famous Mosque also at Nattika Beach. This was built at least three hundred years ago and was renovated in 1985.
At Nattika Beach every year a big celebration, Oruma, is held by the Kerala Govt. for promoting tourism. This programme runs for a week and thousands of people come to see and participate in this festival. Nattika beach is a 3 km long, white sandy beautiful beach and fishing is carried on here. Another claim to fame is that the evergreen classic Malayalam Movie “Chemmeen” was shot here.
The native place of the prominent businessman, Padmasree M.A.Yousuf Ali, is also Nattika gramapanchayat.
